At Pregma, you will have access to a personal midwife to help guide you through your pregnancy. We offer a specialised and personal touch to midwifery allowing you to meet and choose your midwife, encouraging safe continuity of care within a comfortable environment of your choosing. Midwives will understand your personal needs and be a familiar face during a time of anxiety and worry, they are here to support you and give clinical advice when you need it most.

Antenatal Care by Personal Obstetric Consultant
With us, you can choose to have all, or part of your antenatal care, by the obstetric consultant of your choice. The antenatal care provided by the obstetric consultant will take place in the clinic setting, whilst our midwifery antenatal care shall take place at your home. If you wish to have all your antenatal care by your selected obstetric consultant, we encourage you to meet your midwife before birth, so she can provide appropriate postnatal care once you have left the hospital with your baby!

Frequently Asked Questions
If you choose to have all your antenatal care with your obstetric consultant, we recommend having an antenatal visit with your selected private midwife who will provide postnatal care for you after the birth of your child, allowing your midwife to understand your needs for your postnatal care.
Your birth will take place in your chosen hospital and you will be supported by your selected obstetric consultant. Your midwife will provide all of your antenatal and postnatal care but will not be able to accompany you in labour. Your private midwife will be on call for you all through your pregnancy, but once you begin to have contractions, your obstetric consultant will be available to contact and to ensure you have a smooth and well-supported birth.
